We received a call one evening from Cathy, who we have been helping out for almost a year. It was great testifying and witnessing for the Lord to Cathy. I knew she was listening to what I had to say because she always laughed at me.

The night she called, she asked if I could come over and speak with her about the Lord, she has been doing some thinking…of course I will come over and speak with you, was my reply. On my way over to her house, I prayed that she would be saved this night. I was reminded by the Lord that there was two other people in the house living with Cathy. I prayed that they too would be saved.
With anticipation and joy I knocked on the door. Cathy opened the door and her grandson greeted me with a big smile. She led me to her sitting area and was apprehensive about talking of the Lord. So, I opened the discussion and told her a little something about me. While she and I was talking, her daughter and daughter’s boyfriend was listening quietly and anxious to join in the conversation. Well, after telling each other something about our lives, and talking about Jesus, Cathy looked at me and said, “I am ready for a change in my life”. So, I said, “you want to be saved…” she said, “yes”.
The other two were looking at me and I asked them if they too wanted to be saved. The boyfriend said, “I would love to be saved, but”…. he looked at me with a smile and did not go on with his comment…I asked, “What are you waiting for?” He sheepishly looked at me and said, “I have to work on my cussing first. I mean, it’s bad.” I looked at him with a smile and said, “You cannot do it without Jesus. You cannot do it all by yourself”. His face lit up, for I knew he wanted to, but, did he really want to change? And then, I asked them again, “do you want to be saved?” They all said yes and each of them turned their lives over to the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord! How awesome our God is!
