June 9, 2008. So much to be thankful for!

Tody is June 9, 2008. Eight years ago my wife and I decided that we needed to marry and work together to raise our children in the admonision of the Lord. Seven years ago we made our vows publicly to the Lord, and to one another from the heart. Since then God has blessed every step of the way and we have NEVER had an argument or foul word toward one another. We are more in love now, and enjoy one another more than we ever dreamed possible!
Also, today our oldest daughter has her graduation cerimony. This extra special because she almost didn't make it and we have been in constant prayer for her, pushing her, and asking the Lord to show her his grace and strength. Now because the Lord has done great things to teach her, and us, she gets to celebrate an acomplishment that none of my parents children had. She is the first grandchild to graduate with cerimony compeleting 13 years of schooling. This a great comfort for me and my boast is in the Lord!
I could not have done any good if it were not for My Father in Heaven. Without His leadership, I could not lead my own children. And through all of it the Lord has secured me in my faith and trust, and made my dependance upon him increase. It is The Lord Jesus, the Word of God, and the guidence of the Holy Spirit that has made all of this possible. My marriage to my wife is the kind we only hear about in fairy tales, and what the Bible shows us we are supposed to have.
She calls me her king, and I call her my queen, and the children enjoy that since that makes them princesess, and a prince. We have our own little five acre kingdom!
The passage below is my blessing from God and my praise for her:
Pro 31:25-31 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Not of this would be possible without My God and my Lord, my King Christ Jesus!
Below is the poem/song I wrote and sang to my wife at our wedding, it is also a promise that I try to keep, and this song keeps that promise fresh in my heart. Our wedding march was an instrumental that my friend and I wrote called "Of One Mind." Both of them are written in a kind of middle ages folk style.
"Milady Fair"
Milady Fair Weep never more, I shall love thee gently,
Tender my hand I give unto thee,
Milady Fair by my side, Walk the Path of living,
Softly our journey embarks with our kiss,
Milady,
Fair maiden of my dreams,
My praise to God for the blessing of loving thee,
Milady, I give you my love,
The journey at times may seem long,
But hand in hand we'll traverse, Weathering the storms you and I,
Still my love rest your head soft upon my shoulder,
The evening brings the comfort of our embrace,
Milady,
My blessed queen,
Princess of my dreams,
I lay down my life for thee,
Milady,
I give you my Love,
Teresa,
I give you my life!

Praise GOD for answering your prayers for your child. May the LORD strengthen
the faith she has in HIM, growing it evermore through love and learning.
One simple piece of wisdom for men, concerning our brides.........may we
never forget
just how lucky we are to have them...............

Truly Praise the Lord; reminds me of Proverbs 31:10 - "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." When we fall in line with the will of the Lord he will shower us with many blessings.

Thanks guys, and thank you brother Nick for all of your prayers! Take a moment give thanks to the Lord because yesterday was an awesome day. What a great blessing from the Lord that my Daughter graduated on our aniversery.
Also, I my younger brother had a very rough day.He and his wife were unable to make the cerimony due to a flat and other issues. But, I had given his wife the first three chapters of a book that found that I thought would be very helpful to all of us.
Last night, instead of stewing in his anger and beating himself up, he and his wife had read a portion and discussed it along with the scripture used, and he was.... rather humbled. I could tell it really helped him to think about The Lord and try to understand what he is going through as he thought of the scripture. Another great blessing because I have been praying for him, for his faith and understanding.
On top of all that, I met a woman who is a business owner who's desire is to help the homeless. She is working toward sponsering and hosting benefit gatherings. I told her about the Dallas ministry and she was quite thrilled to know about it. In our conversation she discovered that my brother and I are musicians and are willing to perform for such gatherings. Turns out that she knows people I had met in the biker world a year ago who have also talked with me about music and such. I don't have time go into detail about the connections but I found it amazeing and God seems to be turning us in a certain direction musically.
My brother was cheered upon hearing that news, he said, "Just one little prayer eh?" I said, "Ya know, that was just a question to the Lord is passing." I was blessed the he remembered what I had told him the other day when he had obligated us to perform.
I'll tell ya, I can't count all the blessings and the incredible joy and humility it gives me. I have been trhough some hard times, and I am sure hard times will come again, but to have such a memorable day makes all that diminish. Who am I that the Lord would think on me? Thing is, when difficult times come we have these kind of days to remember and reassure us that God is truly in control, and everything works for his glory and our good. Our Lord and Savior is greater than any problems that arise.
As that book puts it, "God is in control and has our best interest at heart."
I pray this testimony helps many who read it, TRUST GOD, it all comes down to just plain faith. "The righteous shall live by faith."
Bless you everyone, and thank you for your prayers and words of wisdom and encouragment!
