My daughter Janette and I have a little game of who can answer Mommy's cell phone first! This morning Janette reached it before me and started talking...I went into the other room confident that she would say nice things and ask who it was that was calling. After a few minutes, I took the phone from her and told the person on the other side, "I'm sorry about that, my 4-1/2 year old likes to talk on the phone too". The lady said, "Not a problem, when I asked her who was watching her, her response was awesome and wonderful!" She did not go into detail and so when I was finished with my call, I asked Janette, "When the lady asked you who was watching you, what did you say?" Janette smiled big and said, "Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit!"

I know the lady will tell other people and God's glory will be the topic of the day! Amen for the little ones who are so sweet and innocent! May you be blessed by this as I am!

In Christ,
Janice

How many times could we adults learn from our own children?  Many years ago when my youngest son was about the same age, he taught me the power of prayer.   I came home late from work.  I was tired and emotionally exhausted.  I had forgotten a promise I had made to him that I would play with him that evening.  As soon as I walked in the door, he approached me and said; "Daddy, let's play."  My response was  ... well let me say it was less than enthusiastic.

He grabbed my hand; took me into his bedroom and got on his knees.  He said; "We need to pray".  I don't remember a single word of that prayer but I do remember the power of the Spirit in the room. I will never forget it.  It was the most spiritual moment of my life.

When he finished, he didn't even ask me ... he told me ... "OK daddy; now let's play."  I felt completely rejuvinated and we played for over 2 hours.

All of the sermons in the world would never approach the effect that had on me.  Now; that boy is 20 years old ... in college .... very popular ... and a spiritual leader.  I look at him and think I should be the example for him; yet he is an example for me.

Your daughter's response tells me that she may very well become your teacher ... just as my son became mine!
