There will be a gathering/campout for UCFM Bikers in South Central Illinois

When: May 29 6PM - May 31 1PM
Where: Red Hills State Park, North Park, Sumner, IL

This will be a combined gathering/campout. The exact location affords only primitive camping (tents). There are facilities nearby for RV Camping and local hotels if desired.

Events will include, but are not limited to:
Live Gospel Sing - Saturday Night
Worship Service - Sunday Morning
Biker Evangelising Lessons - Saturday
Footwashing - Friday night
Laying on of hands - As required/requested
MUCH fellowship and sharing.

I will be providing the music for the event. If anyone would like to take on coordinating one of the other events, please let me know. I will have cost amounts closer to the event. The state changes the camping rates each year, but it will still be considerably less than a hotel.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

Please let me know who/how many will be attending.

God bless you all.

P.S. I might invite our local CMA'ers to join us.

Since that will be Memorial Day weekend, we may need to reserve spots in advance. Susie and I will plan on attending. Let us know how we can help.

Please do invite the CMAers in the area and anyone who wants to come (you don't have to ride a motorcycle to come). Camping out will be fun for everyone, and the fellowship will be wonderful. Are you planning on asking the local CMA road captain to plan a ride for us?

Come on all of you bikers. Let's get a rally going! UCFM members, come on out!

That sounds like a real good idea.  I don't know if this old body can make that trip on the bike but we will try to work it out in the truck.  I will place it on my calendar.  God bless.

WOW, that is just so awesome!  When you say bikers, are big kids like me who are still using a tricycle an embarassment to the "bikers."   No, just kidding around... this is really just so awesome.

One of the areas, that came to mind was it is well known about bikers for Christ, and I just got to wondering if there was a group of truckers for Christ as the bikers are organized?  Could you imagine a biker trucker rally for Jesus?

Good job Dale!

Yes, Pastor Fred, there are trucker ministries devoted to spreading the Gospel. I have attended services at a truck stop. These services are provided all over the country for the men and women of Christ who travel and work on the highways. They even have their own small bibles printed that relate to drivers with testimonies of other drivers.

Please join us even if you do not ride a motorcycle. It is a wonderful opportunity to open our horizons and worship our Lord Jesus.

It is also a little known fact that NASCAR has it's own ministry group. MRO, Motor Racing Outreach. Each Saturday they have services for the Nationwide Grand National Series because most of them are on the road on Sundays, and then services on Sunday mornings for the Nextel Cup Series. This happens at the track in one of the garages. Frequent attenders are the LaBonte family, the Gibbs family, Mark Martin, Dale Jr., Jeff Gordon and others. Not to mention the truck drivers, officials, and pit crews.

And they still pray (in the name of Jesus) before EVERY race!!!

One more thing. If anyone wants to be baptized, to rededicate their lives, or even if it happens to be a new believer that just hasn't had the chance, we can do that as well in the lake.

Oh that sounds like FUN!  Maybe I will be able to get a weekend off....I used to get to do this in Williston North Dakota with the CMAers there and I loved it!  My son had his first ride at age 9 and he felt real special.  Don't know who enjoyed it the most, him or the guys who were running him up and down the road.  He made some pretty good buddies that weekend.

I no longer have a bike, but I still have all my camping gear.
That is one enjoyment I will never give up. I even go camp-
ing by myself!

I would most definitely like to do this!!

I would still make reservations ASAP. Where I camp spots
for the summer are already being reserved. You should be
able to cancel resv. a few days in advance with no charge.

If need be, I have plenty of gear if someone would like to
come, but doesn't have any of their own. Just let me know!

I'm already excited clapping

If you plan on attending this event, please go to

http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/1474915/?ps=5

and check the box for "I'm Going" or "I'm Interested"

This will give me an idea as to how many will be attending.

Thanks and God bless.

The cost for the campout is $2 per head. Bring your own food and drinks. There is a restaraunt in the park and there are convenience stores in the town nearby. This is an isolated area, so don't plan on going to the mall. :)

Hello All. I haven't posted in awhile sorry for that. I hurt my back at work, I've just not be feeling like doing much. But anyway I love the idea about this campout/get together. I'm the local Rep. (Chaplain) for a MM in my area and have friends in others. I would love to come to this Blessed event. If my back is better by then my Wife and I will be there. I'll talk to more people here in the MM and see if they can make it also.  I'm about 4 hours out and would hate to ride alone but I will. We have a van so my wife would drive it. I'll ride the bike. Are kids welcome? So as of now count me in. I pray that my back will let me make it. Thanks

God Bless,
Rev.William
