5 Years and Still Kicking

5 years ago this past month, my kidney doctor told me I would be on dialysis within five years at the most. Because of other problems I am not eligible for a transplant.  My lab tests were perfect last week.  A sonogram of my kidneys left my doc with his jaw dropped to the floor. Both were covered with cysts and they were 2 1/2 times their normal size.  Yet; I have no swelling or any other symptoms at all.  The pain disappeared sometime back and hasn't returned. He told me there is no way my kidneys should still be functioning at all, much less at 100%.  He is a spiritual man and all he could say is "PRAISE GOD. I guess the Lord still has work for you."

All I can say is "PRAISE GOD".  The day might come but not until the Lord is good and ready.  And if that day comes, I will accept it.  Until then ... Onward.
