Author Topic: A Great Day with the Lord  (Read 56 times)

In the past several years I have gone through a lot of health problems.  But thanks to the Lord Jesus that I am on the mend know.  Two years ago I had to hire someone to cut my grass each week, I was so weak I couldn't do it myself.  A year ago I was able to start cutting my grass and walking a little more although I needed frequent rest strops.  This past Friday, I cut both my front and back yard without stopping, and cleaned up an old whiskey barrell planter that had fallen apart.  Then Saturday I went for a 9 mile Bicycle ride.  Last year I tried an 8 mile ride and almost had to call a squad to come and get me, I barely made it back to the car.  This year I made it with energy to spare.  I not only went on this wanderful bike ride, but it was through one of our metro parks so I got to enjoy Gods Majestic Creations along the way.  Oh, I have been riding a lot prior to this, just much shorter distances.  I traveled through wooded areas, savannahs, and wet lands, through farm lands with wheat, corn, and soy bean fields.  With all of this changing scenery and vegatation I was also able to pursue one of my favorite past times, bird watching,  along the 9 miles I was blessed with seeing many different species of bird, savannah sparrows, song sparrows, humming birds, red-winged blackbirds, tree swallows, barn swallows, beautiful gold finches, northern bluebirds and cardinals.  Mallard ducks, Canaday geese, terns, killdeer, a great egret, european starlings, turkey vulture and probably a couple more that I can't think of right now.  But the point is, the Lord has brought me back to where I never thought I would ever be again, I am once again able to do "a lot," but not all ofof what I used to do.  I still have some bad days from time to time but now, it is just bad days.  Not long ago I was having bad weeks, and months.  It is so Great to be walking with the Lord, I Praise His Name and give Him thanks for everything he has blessed me with every day.  PRAISE THE LORD.
