Please pray for Luke and his family

Luke is a very special 4 year old boy with leukemia. All treatments have failed and he is in the end-stage of this disease. His parents were recently told by the physician that Luke has less than 1 month to live and referred him to our children's hospice.
If one looks at his labs, this child should be in excruciating pain. Yet he is active and playing. As could be expected, his parents are devastated. Pray that Luke will continue the remainder of his life comfortable and that his parents will be comforted during this very difficult time. They are devout Christians and know that God wants Luke back home with Him. Yet; (as any parent would) they are having a very difficult time accepting our Lord's decision.
Also; pray that I may be a true representative of Christ to this child and his family and may help comfort them. I have become very attached to this child. Every time I walk in the door, he puts his hands up to his face and says; "OH NO!" He knows I'm going to interrupt his play time. I hope when I meet him in heaven he is there to greet me with just one more "OH NO!".

Lord, we come before you today to ask that you give great comfort to our brother and to this family in such a difficult time. Lord, we know you are Jehovah Rappha, our healer. We know that you, and you alone can heal this precious child of yours. We place them in your loving hands. To you be all the glory and all the praise. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
My brother, my prayer will be with you and this family in such a difficult time. I pray for strength for these coming days. We can look to the day we will all be together again walking with the Lord. It is hard to see in times like this, but remember, all things work for good to them that love the Lord, to them who are called according to his purpose.

Dear Father, understanding and trusting in You and Your plan for us can be so very difficult at times. Loving You above all else can be even more difficult in situations such as this one. My heart breaks for this family and I don't even know them. But I do know the pain of loss, and in the midst of that pain it is near impossible to take comfort in the peace that passes all understanding. But I know that if it were not for the pain You suffered when you made the perfect and the ultimate sacrifice, we would not - nor could not - enter into your holy presence and make our supplications to You.
So in the name of the One who is Faithful and True, we come before You on behalf of this family. We ask that You would comfort them and envelope them with Your Spirit of Holiness and peace. And we will forever give You all the glory. Amen

Almighty and Everlasting Father,
You created all things. You are in complete control. You will never leave us or forsake us. You are true to Your promises. I praise Your Holy Name. We look to You for help and strength. We turn to You in times of grief and pain. You are infinitely beautiful. Blessed be the Lord. I come to You thanking you for the lack of pain Luke seems to posess. I am so grateful for that blessing. May he continue to be playful and happy. Children are gifts from You. They are entrusted to us until they return to You. I pray that his parents be comforted knowing that he will be happier and more free than he has ever been. He will experience Your glory and never be sick again. He will be waiting to greet them as they cross the river to eternity. Life is but a vapor, but You give eternal life. Please give his parents, family and extended family peace and comfort as they hold their precious child. In Jesus name. Amen

John 11:35
"Jesus wept"
Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding"
We do not always have the answers for things that occur in this world, nor do we understand them. But we can cling to and trust in the word of God, for it is a Living Word.
We will always be saddened and grieve over the matters of the heart which occur to us, in our lifetimes, no matter how strong our faith. God created us this way. He is in control. He is all capable, and He is more concerned with our eternal lives than our lives in this flesh. Hope is what He has given us, Hope of a new and eternal life in Christ, free of pain and suffering and full of vitality in His presence. We, of the Body of Christ will all arrive there one day; it is a matter of His timing, not ours. Until that great reunion when we all are together in His presence, we must press on, in Him. And endure, in Him. Be blessed, I am praying for Luke and the family.
