Although I work in ministry, I do not currently earn my living in it. I am a technical writer that works with editors under company contracts, primarily in computer science (my major in college). Around late December, I was granted a contract. It doesn't pay much, but it's steady income. On Dec. 17th I applied for another contract with a company that pays higher. Applicants were notified that it may take some time to hear back. I was offered the contract the next day. Yesterday, I received a third contract with a company that pays even higher than the second--3 contracts with major companies secured within approximately 1 month. I work from home with all of these jobs. Shortly before this, I had lost a job to which I have to travel, due to several days of blizzard-like weather (I'm in Iowa). Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated to put it mildly because money was growing extremely scarce. Our God is an awesome Provider of whatever it is that we need. To learn to trust Him even when things aren't making sense or are falling apart is to have peace through the exercise (and sometimes the tiring fight) of faith. But, those of us who've fallen in love with the Lord would rather go through a tumultuous ride in the storm with Him than be in the calm without Him. I thank God for the income I now have with these contracts under which I work with outstanding editors. I can tell the Lord for myself, "Great is your faithfulness."

I am Happy for you that you have received Blessings from the Lord.   May the Lord continue to Bless you and yours in all you do in his name.

Romans 8:31 (KJV)

30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Thank you brethren in Christ. I fully agree with all of the posts in the forums speaking of the Christian support within the UCFM of which I thank God I'm a part.

What a blessing your post was to me personally!   I am an under paid Author (I have a problem with keeping the royalty checks for myself).  I write what the Lord opens up to me and I too, cannot pocket "Him money"!  I do little things to get by and somehow, I always do!  It is always just when I think I won't make another week when the temptation comes to mind of using "His" royalties for selfishness instead of "His ministry and will".  I have had quit a few of those moments lately!  I always seem to make it through, all praise to the Lord for that... I sure could not make it without His love and grace.  I also want to praise the Lord Jesus for keeping Him promise to you.  He will always supply our "needs".  I am happy to hear about your contracts.  God bless you Hannah.  thubmsup
