The most gratifying words I can hear in my calling are; "I don't need you any more."
I had a mom tell me that today.  I admitted her baby into hospice 2 days after his birth.  He had a health problem with almost no chance of recovery.  We went through many long days and nights with his parents and siblings.  We prayed with them and we spent many hours on the phone and in their home as this child went through one crisis after another.

For no reason which can explained in human terms he suddenly began to thrive and grow and develop. (We all know why!)

I told the father that I really needed to speak with him and the child's mom.  He asked that I come on the weekend so the whole family could be there.  I sat down with them today and said; "It's obvious to me that God has answered your prayers.  I really think you do not need us anymore.

His mom joyfully said; "Really?"  I said "Really!"  And then I handed the parents a certificate I made graduating their child out of hospice.

There were a lot of tears  ... not tears of sadness but tears of joy.  It's not often that I get to tell a family goodbye under these circumstances.

At that point mom joyfully exclaimed; "I don't need you anymore!"

Hallelujah!!!!

Praise GOD for HIS faithfulness to prayer. Prayer should always
be our 1st choice and not our last resort.
      Amen and Amen.

Amen, the Lord will answer our prayers if we will just drop the pride and go to Him. Too many times we think we can handle things on our own but we find out how weak we really are when we finally lay our burdens at the foot of the Cross and they are taken care of.

That is WONDERFUL news.

Can we learn to praise God with as much enthusiasm when the outcome is not favorable?

Quote from: Thess 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
